How to Cook a Sustainable Menu: A Skill-Based Cook-Along
Thursday, June 4 | 6:00–7:30 PM
Join us for an engaging and practical evening exploring how the way we cook and eat can support both our health and the health of the planet.
Ivy Mumo, RD (Regional Director, Wellness and Sustainability, Flik Hospitality group) will lead a live, skill-focused cook-along, demonstrating how to prepare a delicious, protein-packed, and sustainable menu while sharing culinary techniques you can use in your own kitchen. The session will highlight approachable strategies for eating in ways that support longevity, nutrition, and environmental sustainability—without sacrificing flavor.
We’ll also hear from Dr. Shirley Kalwaney (Director of Nutrition Medical Education, Inova Fairfax), who will discuss the powerful overlap between healthy eating patterns and caring for our planet.
