About the event
Join clinicians from across the Commonwealth who will come to Richmond on January 23 to meet with legislators on the links between climate and health that we are seeing in our patients and in our communities. Climate policy is health policy.
Join us for breakfast starting at 8am on the University of Richmond's Downtown location (just a short walk from the General Assembly building) where we will review relevant legislative issues being considered. Participants will then have the chance to meet with their State Delegates and Senators from 9:30am-11:30am.
A lunch and debrief will follow along with keynote speaker Dr. Dan Carey, Virginia's Secretary of Health and Human Resources. There will also be a presentation of VCCA's annual "Climate and Teaching Award".
We hope you'll consider joining us and inviting other colleagues who may be interested!
