Medical Society Consortium on Climate & Health’s Annual Meeting

March 19-21, 2023 | Washington DC

The Medical Society Consortium on Climate & Health’s Annual Meeting was held in person and virtually on March 19-20, 2023, with in-person Congressional visits on March 21. The meeting took place at Van Metre Hall on George Mason University’s Campus in Arlington, Virginia, and on Zoom. The theme for this year’s meeting is Seize the Moment for Climate Action: Building The Climate Health Movement.

The historic passage of the Inflation Reduction Act and other recent regional, state, and local climate policy present important new opportunities, but also new challenges, to achieving the goals of our Policy Action Agenda. With more of the public hearing our messages and the almost daily reminders of the health and safety threats posed by a warming world, we now have the momentum to move toward our goals. We can and must seize it. We need to ensure every medical professional who is willing is empowered and prepared to advocate on the local, state, and federal levels to ensure that these dollars are best spent on climate, health, and equity.
